Covidien, Senior Intellectual Property Counsel
Elias Domingo is a senior intellectual property counsel at Covidien in Mansfield, Massachusetts. His practice includes providing strategic advice regarding preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent and trademark applications, advising and preparing clearance and freedom to operate opinions and patentability opinions, and other intellectual property matters, including trade secret and licensing issues. He was a partner practicing intellectual property attorney at Lando & Anastasi LLP in Cambridge, Mass and Wolf Greenfield & Sacks in Boston, Massachusetts.
Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a senior process engineer with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.; a plant operations engineer and a facilities management engineer with Bechtel Petroleum Operations, Inc.; a research engineer with Thiokol Corporation; and a chemist with Master Processing Corporation.
Elias has also served with the U.S. Naval Reserve as an Engineering Duty Officer.
Elias earned his J.D. from the Widener University School of Law, his master’s in chemical engineering from Cal Poly Pomona, and his bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
