Julie Brinkerhoff-JacobsAs Senior Principal, President and CFO of
Lifescapes International, Inc., Julie Brinkerhoff-Jacobs effectively focuses on guiding the company towards the future. She is a frequent speaker at industry events and has authored numerous papers on real estate and demographic trends.

Brinkerhoff-Jacobs is actively involved in organizations such as G2E Institute and G2E Expo, the Urban Land Institute, and the Building Industry Association-Orange County Region.

She serves on the executive board for HomeAid America, a non-profit organization she co-founded in 1989 whose 22 chapters nationwide help build shelters for the temporarily homeless. She previously served on the Cal Poly Pomona College of Environmental Design’s Partner’s Circle Advisory Board. In addition, she and her father, Donald Brinkerhoff (alumnus and founder and chairman of Lifescapes International), have established the Lifescapes International Landscape Architecture Scholarship at the university.

Brinkerhoff-Jacobs has received numerous awards celebrating her accomplishments including her recent induction into the California Building Industry’s Hall of Fame in 2009. In 1990, the National Association of Home Builders and other organizations awarded her national, local and regional recognition for the concept direction of the residential project, The Monet Collection. In 2007, the Orange County Philanthropic Society honored her with the Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year award.

Brinkerhoff-Jacobs earned her bachelor’s degree from Cal State University, Sonoma in 1976 in creative writing and theatre arts. She and her husband, Don Jacobs (president of architectural firm JZMK Partners), have one daughter, Maya Marie Rodgers. Brinkerhoff-Jacobs’ interests include vintage cars and Wizard of Oz memorabilia.
