Currently the Cal Poly Pomona Motorcycle Club is uncharted and with out leadership. If you would like to lead this very popular and dynamic club please see Donna Kent in the Office of Student Life for direction. At last count, there were over 100 members, 20 sponsors offering discounts and jobs, plenty of money in the bank account, and many supportive alumni. You may contact former Presidents at 909 629 2132, cequirk@csupomona.edu, or queeneli@hotmail.com. All of the remaining club property, a copy of the website, and all remaining club documents have been left with Advisor Mark Greenwood. He will only surrender those items to new officers of the club who demonstrate that the club has been rechartered. Thank you, founder, Chris Quirk.

Hi guys,
Hope all is good with you. We have a meeting tomorrow at A & W 06:00pm. Members, please come if you can. For those of you who will be attending Cal Poly next year, we could use a little help. Officers who participate get to decide what we do as a club, when and where we throw parties, take trips, pay for racing school, etc. Officers also get the first picks on free stuff donated to us like riding gear, exhaust pipes, motorcycles, gift certificates, and other stuff. Finally, many of our sponsors offer jobs like the ones below. Successful officers that show good effort receive excellent recommendations. Hi folks,
Hope things are good with you. This week we will receive all final nominations for Treasurer. Please email me if you are interested. The deadline will be our meeting this Friday at 6:00pm at A & W on Holt in Ontario, Ca. We will hold elections the following week.
I went to the Educational Interest Council meeting today. Along with being a group of nice people the have $7000 that they need to spend in the near future. Does any one have a suggestion on something that we could put up as a proposal such as a learning event, training seminar, club event, etc. I have to be notified of any plan by This Thursday at 5:00pm. They would require a budget and a proposal the following Tuesday at noon. We will be part of this council next year. I will accept and will help member proposals from any members that have put out effort in the club, have not flaked at events, and has not built a horrible reputation through other councils. I will be presenting at the next council meeting to advertise our club. Next year I hope that we will be more active on campus. Some of our sponsors have stated that they might provide motorcycles for club promotions. Sounds like fun.
So who want to get paid for riding motorcycles? There might be a new postion available. I will know more tomorrow.
Next week I might announce a new motorcycle dealer sponsor.
Hope to see some of you at the meeting this Friday. We had 65 people apply for the position at Suzuki. Maybe some of you could show up to the meeting?
Chris

Hi guys,
A bunch of people are doing bungee on Sunday. The following Sunday there will not be a bungee trip. If you still want to go day after tomorrow, email me by 7pm Saturday and I will send you directions. Our sponsor says that any weekend that we want to go, we can either join an existing group of 10 or more people or we have to have at least 10 people for them to make a special trip. I hope that makes sense, it has been a long day. The normal price is $109 for the first jump and $79 for each consecutive jump. Our price this weekend is about 1/3 the price. Our sponsor has requested that I do not print the exact discount. Any modifications to the normal price is subject to change at each event. Always be ready to pay the full price but it will probably be cheaper and you will know the price before the expedition starts. Various outrageous stunts can get the price even lower. Our sponsor has also asked that any discount be kept discreetly quiet. You never want to upset a nice man who is giving you a discount and is helping you jump off a bridge. This is big fun. Chris

Hi guys,
Alex from Bungi America called me today and said they they are jumping this Sunday. If you want to bungi jump with the chance of free jumps, email me and I will provide you with directions. Chris

Chris,
Sorry for the inconveinence, but it would be better if on Sunday we met at 9 at cal poly. Some of my friends are riding malibu canyon on sunday and i want to get to the meeting place in Santa Monica by 10. So if anyone wants to ride through the malibu hills, let me know, but this is not a begginners run. If you can't handle 2 hours on the freeway and about 2 hours of twisty roads, then this is not the trip for you. Please let me know if you are planning on attending the ride because i plan on leaving at 9:10 sharp. Also if you want to be a passager please contact me and we will see if there is room for you to ride on the back of someone. Happy riding and keep the rubber side down

Less experience is ok as long as you are willing to learn alot in a hurry, just like a college class. Some of the jobs are posted on our site and on www.brownbmw.com There is also a cleaning position available that is part time and could lead into other postions it the person applies themselves. If you are interested, let me know. Cris

01-22-04

Hi guys,
Check out the new poles in the building 98 parking lot for motorcycle parking. This should greatly reduce the number of bikes stolen off campus. If you have a nice bike, park there and lock it up to a heavy chain. Please let me know what you think of them. If we have strong interest in the other parking areas, we will try get them posted there as well. Keep in mind that these took over a year to install. With any luck, there will be an article in the poles in the Poly Post in the near future. The officers have agreed to present Matt Hampton with a gift certificate from one of our sponsors to thank him for all of his hard work to make this happen, should he show up to a meeting, hint hint. Next meeting will be next Friday.
This Saturday, Gilkey Piano Service will be having a party in Baldy and have invited us. Follow the directions below and BYOB to make sure they have what you may want. Starts at 8:00pm. Direction - Use map quest or something to get directions to Mt Baldy Village. Park in the church parking lot across from The Baldy Lodge. There is a road in the back of the parking lot. Walk up the road to the cabin with the music and the Christmas lights. You will need a flashlight, coat, and wear comfortable shoes. Chris will be there for sure as well as others. All are welcome.
We might be in need of a new Treasurer. If you are interested in the position let me know.
So who wants to go on the bungi trip?

01-14-04

Hi guys,
Just a reminder, next CPPMC motorcycle meeting is this Friday. We have lots to celebrate and discuss. We will meet at 6:00pm at A & W on Friday. Chris

01-07-04

Hi guys,
First of all I would like to thank Matt Hampton and Charles Holt for the holes that have been cut into the asphalt of the motorcycle area parking lot in front of building 98. I have been told by the work crew that those holes will be filled with pipes that we can lock our motorcycles to. This project has been along time in the works and we all need to thank Matt for sticking with it and making this happen. A recent gift from one of our sponsors will be awarded to Matt at our next event. A thank you card will be sent to Charles Holt on Monday. Posters will also be posted on Monday.
Hope all of you had a good vacation. Lets have a meeting Friday after next at A & W 6:00pm as usual. I would not like to have a meeting this Friday as not all of us are back from break yet. If you are no longer attending Cal Poly or if you would like to be removed from this list, please send me an email stating such and I will remove you from the list. So when are riding? Chris
