MHR Alumni

Alumni Night & Silent Auction

The Annual MHR Alumni Night & Silent Auction will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008. As a result of generous contributions from alumni and community members last year, we were able to raise over $2,000.00! This has allowed us to provide scholarships to noteworthy MHR students and enhance the educational opportunities available to all of our students! Thanks for playing such a critical role in our success! We hope to see you there this year to help us make it a bigger, better, & even more successful event!

Professor for a Day

MHR needs active alumni willing to share experience and take leadership in building future professionals.  Students need mentors and role models. Please help out!  Why not be a professor for a day? Contact us.

Every year the College of Business Administration sets aside a day where local managers and executives are asked to come on campus and teach a class. If you're a Human Resources professional, an entrepreneur, or a reflective manager with experience to share, we think you'll benefit from a "day away from it all". Please let us know of your interest and willingness to bring your part of the "real world" to campus!

Advisory Council

The MHR department had had an active Advisory Council for a number of years. Meetings are generally held on campus twice during the year at the Kellogg House Pomona. The Advisory Council consists of approximately 15 industry professionals, including many who are alumni of the department as well as employers of our students. The representatives are from the manufacturing and service sectors and span different management levels from Supervisors to Senior Managers.

The role of the Advisory Council is to act as a sounding board for initiatives that the department proposes to undertake. The Council members also serve as ambassadors to our program. A vast array of subjects is typically covered at these meetings including Community Partnerships, Internships, Curriculum issues, e-business and alumni relations.

The department is seeking enthusiastic and interested professionals who wish to become a part of its Advisory Council. If you would like to nominate an individuals or yourself, please contact Dr. Cheryl Wyrick at (909)-869-2431.
