Welcome to CHM 121! This course explores some fundamental principles of chemistry: mass conservation, atomic structure, and bonding. To help you prepare for the course, please complete the preparatory assignment using the online learning system called ALEKS, before the quarter begins.
What do you Need to do BEFORE the Quarter Starts?
1. Register as an ALEKS user
2. Download the ALEKS plug-in (if you are using your personal computer)
3. Complete the Initial Assessment
4. Start completing PREP items in the Fundamentals Assignment
Note: The PREP assignment in ALEKS is due the end of Week 1. However, it is best to complete this assignment before classes begin. This assignment will count towards your homework grade. In order to get started, click on STEP 1 on the right hand column.
