The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a program in mathematics approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Those individuals who wish to qualify for the waiver and become mathematics teachers in California public schools must complete the comprehensive list of courses that follows. The core courses in the mathematics major together with appropriate selected courses in the pure option will satisfy most of the courses on the list. The rest of the required courses can be chosen to satisfy the free elective requirements for the degree.
