C++ to Java : Workshops Fall 2009 Rm 8-302

Workshop 1 C++: October 6th at 12pm
A review of C++ pass by value and pass by reference. Specific examples
for each are explored. A refresher on how these two concepts behave in
C++, and sets up examples which will be revisited in the second
workshop. Handout

Workshop 2 Java: October 8th at 12pm
The C++ concepts that were covered in workshop 1 are applied to Java.
Examples in workshop 1 are covered and converted to the Java language.
Java's parameter passing behavior is explained, as well as how
primitive and non-primitive types are handled in parameter passing. Handout
