Dr. Jeff Marshall is an experienced science educator.  He teaches Cal Poly Pomona’s Earth Science Education course (SCI 212), and is a contributing faculty member of the College of Science - Center for Education and Equity in Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CEEMaST).

Dr. Marshall teaches a series of Earth Science content workshops for local teachers, offered through Cal Poly Pomona’s San Gabriel Valley Science Project (California Math and Science Partnership - CaMSP, and Science Teachers Learning from Leason Analysis - STeLLA).  He is also involved in Cal Poly Pomona’s Teacher Quality Enhancement initiative (TQE), working with other faculty to develop Science Education curriculum.

In partnership with Redwood Elementary School in Fontana, Dr. Marshall directs a Service Learning Project for Elementary Education students enrolled in his Earth Science Education course (SCI 212).  These students develop Earth Science lesson plans and hands-on learning activities, which they present to schoolchildren in a real classroom.

With his Geology Department colleagues, Dr. Marshall co-authored an exercise manual for use in Earth Science Education. He also serves as an Event Captain with the Los Angeles County Science Olympiad held annually at Cal Poly Pomona.
