I am an Associate Professor of English. My specialties include Shakespeare, masques, and the history of the theater business in the Early Modern era, especially women in the theater business.

This page serves several functions:

A bit about my background:

I was educated at Sarah Lawrence College, Cambridge University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before coming to Cal Poly Pomona, I worked as a Lecturer at the University of Michigan.

Also on the course page is my grading policy and other useful administrivia.
My Shakespeare page is for students and anyone who wishes to know more about Shakespeare. Here you will find links to Shakespeare sites, to theater companies, and a picture of the Bard himself.

The Resources page contains non-Shakespearean resources; writing resources, links on Medieval and Renaissance literature, and on non-Shakespearean drama.

The personal page contains a photo or two of me, my mom, and one of my cats (I am, after all, human).

The professional page contains links to my updated curriculum vita and to my current research on women in the Early Modern Theater business.
