This page is meant to serve as a link to my course web pages, and also to provide some general information about the London Quarter.
A note of explanation: above you will find common links to the most popular sources of information; things that apply to all students. Below are links to both courses. Each course page contains a syllabus and links to all your assignments.
Shakespeare 203/403: Shakespeare on Location.
English 207/499: Survey and Studies in British Literature I.
What you need to do to prepare:
Read the syllabi--print them out for your own reference.
Make sure you have the books.
Buy a journal and, shortly before you leave for England--maybe on the plane--answer the following question:
What are my expectations? What images do the words "England," "Shakespeare," "Britain," conjure up? What will it be like? Do I have any ideas from books or stories, any from the news or films, that color my expectations? What are they?
This only needs to be a page or two. Be prepared to share it with your classmates on arrival.
