You are responsible for the materials in the assigned readings as well as covered by the lectures, discussions, exercises, and project development.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Most of the assignments and exercises are intended to help you to develop hands on skills and enhance the concepts covered in the reading.  Although most of the lab meeting time will be allocated to work on assignments, exercises, and projects, the in-class time will not be enough to complete all the requirements. It is your responsibility to complete the requirements outside the class period. If you need help outside the class period, please do not hesitate to make an appointment with us.

TERM PROJECT:

Most students will continue their projects from last quarter. Some adjustments may have to be made to accommodate the enrollment change and special situations. The completed projects will be presented in poster format to Cal Poly Pomona’s Engineering Symposium on May 18, 2007 and possibly to the ESRI User conference in San Diego, June 18, 2007.

The emphases of the project this quarter are

·         To perform spatial analysis based on the established project background and database in previous courses

·         To present results in both poster format and report format.

Please see Project page for detail.

GRADING:

  • Assignments 30%, class participation (attendance, discussion, hands on activities, etc.) 10%, exams 25%, project 35%.
