| Professor, teaching Organic Chemistry
lecture and laboratory classes. As the Organic Chemistry area coordinator, I design and maintain the Blackboard online prelab quizzes (CHM 317L & 318L). I am also Cal Poly's Calibrated Peer Review (CPR) administrator. |

I am actively involved as an advisor to Cal Poly's chemistry club, the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society (SAACS). The American Chemical Society has many useful resources on the web.
My research interests lie in the area of Chemical Education. Mainly, I focus on developing and assessing online learning tools, and developing new lab experiments in the area of Synthetic Organic Chemistry. For my Ph.D., I worked with Professor Mike Jung at UCLA.
These days, my personal life revolves around my two kids, but I used to enjoy golf, racquetball, camping, snorkeling, going whale watching and watching football (I'm a big Dallas Cowboys fan). My biggest hobby is collecting PEZ dispensers!
