The LSAMP program at Cal Poly Pomona is designed to build a collaborative learning community of among students with similar career goals in the STEM disciplines. LSAMP works in collaboration with the MEP and SEES programs to provide academic support and advising for entering freshman and transfer students. LSAMP promotes and funds student involvement in undergraduate research opportunities, preparation for graduate school and career networking, opportunities. Activities to support STEM students begin with entering freshman and transfer students and continue to graduation and placement in strong STEM graduate programs.

LSAMP focuses on strengthening the analytical skills of our entering students and continues to support students as they prepare to apply for graduate programs. This program is aimed at increasing the quality and quantity of students successfully completing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) baccalaureate degree programs, and increasing the number of students interested in, academically qualified for and matriculated into programs of graduate study.
