living things; covering levels of organization from molecules to ecosystems. Designed as a prerequisite course for majors who take other courses

organic evolution. 4 lectures/problem-solving.

transmission genetics, cytogenetics, molecular genetics

Survey of
ecological theory and practice, including interactions between organisms and
their environment. 3 lectures/problem-solving, 1 three-hour
laboratory. 3 one-day weekend field trips.
