General Information
The Book
Club is the newest service provided by the College Reading Skills Program.
Membership is open to any student, staff, or faculty member who enjoys
having interesting conversations about good novels.
The Book Club meets
three to four times per quarter. The first meeting is designed to welcome
new and returning members and to introduce the novel. The remaining three
meetings are structured for small group discussions. The remaining two
or three meetings are structured for group discussion. Depending on the
size of the group, the members may be split into smaller groups for discussion.
The Book Club reads
a new novel each quarter. Members select novels at the last meeting of
the prior quarter. The College Reading Skills Program purchases a limited
number of novels and distributes them on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tentative meeting
dates are Thursday of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th week of the quarter from 12pm-12:50pm
and are held in the CRSP office, Bldg 13B.
