Dr. Preiser is a Professor of Computer Information Systems at the College of Business, Cal Poly Pomona University. She serves as the Department's Assistant Chair. She is also the Executive Coordinator of the Russian American Business Management program (RABMP), an international MBA program offered by Cal Poly in Vladivostok, Russia.

Dr. Preiser's undergraduate work was in Computer Information Systems. She had also earned an MBA degree with concentration in Strategic Management, a Masters of Science degree in Management Information Systems, and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Claremont Graduate University. She is a Certified Data Processing (CDP) specialist.

Dr. Preiser's teaching interests are in the areas of systems analysis and design, database development and IT management. Her research interests are: 1) the impact of service-learning pedagogies on student learning outcomes, 2) the integration of Internet technologies into K-6 education, 3) the development of lateral working relationships between IS specialists and their business clients in the context of IT implementation projects, and 4) the implementation, use and organizational / individual impacts of knowledge management tools.
