Email LPAC's President, Yanet Garcia, at lpac.cpp@gmail.com. 16th Annual Hilda L. Solis Scholarship Dinner & ReceptionMay 24, 2012 - LPAC and the Cesar E. Chavez Center for Higher Education organized the Hilda L. Solis Scholarship Dinner & Reception. The scholarship program awarded 17 outstanding young individuals for their accomplishments in the Latino community and in the classroom. Congratulations to all of the recipients and a huge Thank You to all of the sponsors and people who helped put on the event.
A Salsa Night OutApril 13, 2012 - Alumni members from the Latino Professional Alumni Chapter and the College of Business Administration Alumni Chapter gathered at CocoPalm in Pomona, CA for a night of salsa classes and salsa dancing to a live band. On this night, members celebrated the birthday of LPAC President, Yanet Garcia.
Horseback Riding to the Hollywood SignMarch 3, 2012 - Approximately 25 alumni and family members got to ride horses along the Hollywood sign on a beautiful, sunny day in Southern California. After 1-hour of enjoying a view that included the Pacific Ocean, Downtown LA, the San Gabriel Valley, the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Catalina Island, alumni members enjoyed lunch at the Hollywood & Highland Center.
An Evening in Spain at Café HidalgoFeb 17, 2012 - A joint mixer between LPAC and the Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association. Free food provided by the alumni, free "Cake Vodka" provided by Café Hidalgo, ice breakers, an impromptu serenade by a passing Church group and great conversation made for a nice night with alumni and friends.
Wine Tasting Event at Wine Detective in PasadenaJan 26, 2012 - LPAC hosted a food and wine tasting event in Pasadena. Members walked around to 48 wine stations inside Wine Detective and tried wines from California, Oregon, Washington and Europe.
Holiday Ice skating EventDec 3, 2011 - LPAC's Holiday Ice Skating event took place in Ontario, CA. Members came out for lunch to El Pescador Restaurant, then proceeded to the skating venue where they ice skated until exhaustion. CSU Megamixer - Uniting six Cal State University campusesNov 8, 2011 - LPAC helped put together an amazing event that brought together alumni and friends from six CSU campuses: Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State LA, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State San Bernardino. The 1st Annual CSU Megamixer was held at Dave & Busters in Arcadia, CA. Below, the LPAC Board.
Día de los MuertosNov 3, 2011 - LPAC members attended the Día de los Muertos festival held at Cal Poly Pomona every year. The evening was filled with concerts and great food from clubs across campus.
LPAC Kayaking ExcursionOct 8, 2011 - LPAC organized a kayaking excursion in Huntington Harbor. For two hours, LPAC members kayaked the aquatic neighborhoods of Huntington Harbor in Seal Beach, CA. Afterwards, everyone caravaned to The Magic Lamp Mediterranean Grill in Long Beach for lunch.
Latino Professional Hispanic Heritage Month BBQOct 1, 2011 - In conjunction with the SHPE Orange County Professional Chapter and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, LPAC helped coordinate the Hispanic Heritage Month BBQ at Irvine Recreational Park. Below, members competing in the sandbag toss.
