The Latino Professional Alumni Chapter, formerly known as Raíces, was founded in 1988 by Chicano/Latino alumni and serves to cultivate partnerships with the corporate sector, community organizations, and dedicated individuals. The Latino Professional Alumni Chapter alumni are united in their commitment to the educational development of the Chicano/Latino student. The four main objectives of the Latino Professional Alumni Chapter are improving the professional development of Chicano/Latino alumni through information and social change; providing financial and moral support to students; providing information on available scholarship programs and employment opportunities; and being a viable resource to Cal Poly Pomona.
