Learning Goals for CIS 421

  • Learn the basic skills and tools necessary for the conceptualization, design, and publication of Multimedia applications on the Internet
  • Apply human-centered design and graphical design principles to the development of multimedia projects. Demonstrate an understanding of human-centered and graphical design principles by critiquing the work of others
  • Improve written and oral communication skills necessary to develop information systems.
  • Learn to develop multimedia websites which meet Web Accessibility Standards

Prerequisites

  • CIS 328, CIS 305 (or CIS 299 or CIS 254) with grades of C or better in all these classes
  • Minors are excused from prerequisites not written into their minor contracts (e.g.,  CIS 328)
  • EBZ students are excused from prerequisites that are not part of their contracts
  • Students who do not have prerequisites will be dropped.
