You need explicit permission to use intellectual property that does not belong to you.

Web sites with shared files (e.g., Flickr), have copyright and intellectual Property policies that are usually listed in the footer. Open it up and read what it says

Your grade will be higher if you use objects that you create yourself.

The CSU has adopted a policy on Copyright and Fair Use that you should consult before including any intellectual property in your project that is owned by someone else.
