Add Cue Points for Flash in Premiere

Create unnumbered markers in the Premiere video that are embedded in the Flash movie as cue points

Cue points can be used to trigger events, used by ActionScript, or used to add closed captioning

If you open the FLV movie in Soundbooth, the Marker panel will create markers on the audio timeline that can be exported as an XML file with Flash cue points, which are time encoded.

How to add markers in Premiere

  1. Open the movie
  2. Move the timeline marker to the first point that needs a marker
  3. Doubleclick the Unnumbered Marker button at the top left of the timeine (looks like a pen point -- see image below).
  4. The marker appears in the timeline (see below)
  5. When you are finished adding the cue points, save the project and export the video as a FLV (Flash Video) file, using the Premiere Adobe Media Encoder
