Workspace Areas

• Workspace configuration can be modified by opening and closing panels, by drag and drop or by resizing panels
• Workspace configuration can be saved for later reuse.
• Last workspace configuratino will reopen next time After Effects is opened
• Default workspace can be reset through Windows menu

1. Tools panel contains tools for entire project
2. Project panel holds information about project and links to source files within project. Does NOT contain source files itself.
3. Composition panel displays selected composition. Compositions may be nested inside other compositions. Compositions are similar to movieclips in Flash.
4. Timeline panel
5. Time graph
6. Grouped panels: Info and Audio
7. Effects control panel or other panels opened via Windows on menu
8. Paragraph or other panel opened via Windows on menu bar -- text was last element changed in project.
