Painting in Flash CS3

Flash CS3 Professional provides different ways to paint elements on the Flash stage or in Flash graphics or movieclip symbols

Painting with the Brush Tool

• Select the brush tool on the toolbar
• The color that will be painted is the one in the bucket color well.

Brush tool options at bottom of toolbar

• The Paint mode
  • Paint Normal - paints over lines and fills on the same layer
  • Paint Fills paints fills and empty areas, leaves lines alone
  • Paint behind - the area behind an element is painted but not the element itself
  • Paint Selection only applies color within an area that is selected
  • Paint inside only lets you paint inside a closed area
• Below the Paint mode at the bottom of the toolbar, the circle on the left lets you pick the brush size
• The circle on the right lets you pick the brush shape
• the very bottom icons are for using pressure sensitive tablet
