What is After Effects?

  • Application that works with other CS3 applications: video, audio, images (including PSD layers), Text, Illustrator vector drawings, Flash
  • Build compositions (similar to Flash movieclips) that add effects to any of these files
  • Many preset animation and other effects that would be difficult to create in Flash or Premiere
  • Information about project, including links to source files, saved in .aep file.
  • Export finished files in several audio, video, or image sequence formats (including SWF, MOV, WAV)
