Program Goals
The goal of the department
is to offer excellent academic programs
for the landscape irrigation science (LIS) major and the landscape
irrigation design minor, and serve the landscape, water and irrigation
industries through CTILT.
The goal of the LIS degree
is to educate students in the application
of science, mathematics, and plant and soil science, and application
of technology. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding
of urban landscapes, learn principles of irrigation systems design,
and develop skills in irrigation water management.
The goal of the faculty
extends beyond the classroom in
serving the landscape, water and irrigation industries through
seminars, research and testing of irrigation equipment, system
design and water management issues through CTILT.
