Q: I've scouted at Cal Poly Pomona and want to check availability of a space for our shoot date(s). How do I do that?
A: Contact the License of Facilities office to do a preliminary availability check on a specific location. Cal Poly Pomona's academic mission and normal business has priority over filming. Filming (For convenience, the word “filming” is used to include all still photography, filming, videotape and motion pictures) is permitted only if it does not interfere with normal University activities. Please note: No area will be held until an application and application fee have been received.
Q: How do I book space for a shoot?
A: Complete and submit the Filming/Photography application and an estimate will be prepared and sent to you for approval. You will need to sign and return the application with a certified or cashier check made payable to Cal Poly Pomona in the amount of $500.00 for the application fee. A license will be drafted and sent to you. It will need to be signed and returned by the date listed along with the insurance certificate and endorsement that meets all university requirements or the shoot would not be able to take place.
Q: What are the fees for an event or commercial shoot?
A: You will need to complete an application for an event or commercial shoot and the License of Facilities office will prepare a written estimate based on the information you provide.
