NationMaster.com From Rapid Intelligence, a Web company in Australia, NationMaster.com asks "Why shouldn't the net have a central location that allows you to compare countries on any statistic you like?" And this might be it!

Demography & Population Studies Demography & Population Studies, part of The WWW VL, is provided by the Australian National University. The coverage is worldwide and includes population data for particular countries and regions.

Foreign Governments Statistics From the University of Michigan; this site is organized by region, then country (click on a flag) and by international agency or type of statistic (population for example). There is also a site for International Organizations.
