The Avalon Project This is a digital archives from the Yale Law School which includes historical documents relevant to history, politics, law, government and diplomacy, also links to supporting documents primary source referenced in the body of the texts.

History Guide From the German Research Society, a comprehensive gateway site; browse by region, time period, or subject.

A collated Web Index of Significant Historians and Philosophers This is a site with many links to significant historians and philosophers. They are grouped under four categories: Classical, Medieval & Renaissance, Early Modern, and Modern.

Eighteenth-Century Resources This site contains a wide variety of material on the 18th century, from electronic texts to calls for papers. There is a large collection of digitized primary source documents and many links to other sites.

Historical Text Archive This site provides the full text of primary and secondary sources. The articles and books are organized by area or country. There are also numerous links organized by area. A comprehensive site.

Internet History Sourcebooks Project This is one of the first and most extensive online collections of primary historical documents, both excerpts and full texts, from all eras and parts of the world. Though many are older English translations, the site also includes texts in French, Spanish, and Latin, as well as some secondary literature. It is searchable, with texts listed under categories as well as by author and title.

Repositories of Primary Sources From the University of Idaho, links to “over 5300 websites describing holdings of manuscripts, archives, rare books, historical photographs, and other primary sources....” Organized by broad area of the world.

Electronic Books (E-Books), Manuscripts, and Documents This page includes links to archives of primary source documents.

History Departments Around the World This is an alphabetical listing of links to history department home pages in the United States and foreign countries. It is managed by the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University.

The History Net This site includes full text articles, biographical profiles, interviews, and a “Today in History” page for the day you look at it (i.e. today).

Best of History Web Sites Some 1000 sites, intended for K-12, including lesson plans, teachers' guides. Organized by broad period of history.

WWW VL History Virtual Library History resources, includes news, conferences, scholastic activities, access to a very large number of links to online collections of full text primary source documents WWW VL History: Electronic Texts.
