FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) Statistical Yearbook English Version Vol 1 (World Tables) Vol 2. (Country Profiles). The volume 2 country profiles contain a brief dietary (consumption) summary for each country.

Food & Nutrition Service From the US Department of Agriculture, information on Food Stamps, School Lunches, and other Federal Government programs to prevent hunger.

Nutrition.Gov Go here for a Comprehensive guide to Nutrition and Health information on US Federal Government Internet sites. Find subjects ranging from food labels to home canning to food borne illnesses.

FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) The FAO site is a good source for international information.

Food and Nutrition Information Center This is the Food and Nutrition Center at the National Agricultural Library. Award winning Nutrition site with many links.

www.foodsafety.gov; Gateway to Government Food Safety Information Subtitled “From Farm to Table”, this comprehensive site includes a FAQ with answers to some 500 questions as well as Consumer Advice, Industry Assistance, and much more.

USDA Center for Nutrition Policy Promotion (CNPP) The CNPP includes subjects such as "The Food Guide Pyramid for Young Children (Released March 25, 1999)," "Symposium on Breakfast and Learning in Children: Selected Presentations," and "Symposium on Childhood Obesity."

American Dietetic Association (ADA) The ADA is the primary national association for Food and Nutrition. Their site lists many nutrition resources including lots of links to excellent nutrition Wed sites.

Food Resource "A source of science-base and business savvy information for the food industry". Has lots of links.

Glossary of Kitchen and Food Terms This Food Glossary contains foods, ingredients, cooking terms, and a variety of cooking advice to assist with your recipes, meal preparation, menu ideas, ingredients, or kitchen utensil purchases.

Consumerlab.com. Independent testing of health and nutrition products. Summaries of most tests are free, but you have to pay for membership to get full access.
