Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) “This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals.” There are 3,489 journals and about 1,186 are searchable at the article level. And journals are listed by academic discipline.
Internet Library of Early Journals (ILEJ) From Bodlian Library, Oxford University, ILEJ is a "digital library of 18th and 19th Century journals." This growing database includes Gentleman's Magazine and the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society.
