Library Catalog
Use the Library Catalog to find books and other materials in the Library. In addition to books, all of the Library's journals, newspapers, recordings, reports, software, and any other holdings are in the Library Catalog. Electronic journals and electronic books are also cataloged and the Library Catalog has links to the electronic materials.
Do not use the Library Catalog if you want to search for journal articles. Use the databases described below to search for journal articles.

Databases provide subject access to journal articles, reports, standards, and other publications. The Cal Poly Pomona Library provices access to nearly 100 databases. The Databases & Article Searching page is your starting point for finding journal articles. Choose Engineering and look for these databases:
Applied Science Full Text (WilsonWeb)
Provides access to over 450 English language engineering and science journals with full text articles from about 20% of the journals.
Compendex (Engineering Village)
From Engineering Information. Indexes over 2600 journals published worldwide in all engineering disciplines; also covers conference papers, reports, and publications of engineering societies. Covers all engineering disciplines, computer science, and other applied sciences.
The Databases menu also links to collections of electronic journals from various publishers. (You will also find articles from these journals when searching in above listed databases.)

An excellent free, web-based encyclopedia with no print counterpart. Informative, illustrated articles on many topics related to Mechanical Engineering -- for example, car engines, automatic transmissions, hybrid vehicles, turbochargers, and electric motors.
