It's difficult to identify materials specific to Engineering Technology in the Library. The Library of Congress (LC) Classification system used in our Library is organized around the traditional engineering disciplines - civil, mechanical, electrical, etc. - and does not have an Engineering Technology section.
This doesn't mean there is nothing for Engineering Technology students in the Library. You'll find plenty to meet your needs. Just think about the words that describe your topic and use them as your search keywords.

Use the Library Catalog to find books and other materials in the Library. In addition to books, all of the Library's journals, newspapers, recordings, reports, software, and any other holdings are in the Library Catalog. Electronic journals and electronic books are also cataloged and the Library Catalog has links to the electronic materials.
Do not use the Library Catalog if you want to search for journal articles. Use the databases described below to search for journal articles.

Databases provide subject access to journal articles, papers, reports and other publications. The Cal Poly Pomona Library provides access to nearly 100 databases. Use these databases to find articles in Engineering journals:
Applied Science Full Text (WilsonWeb)
Provides access to over 450 English language engineering and science journals, 1983 to present. The database includes full text articles from about 20% of the journals. Excellent coverage of chemical and materials engineering and industrial chemistry.
Compendex (Engineering Village)
From Engineering Information. Indexes over 2600 journals published worldwide in all engineering disciplines; also covers conference papers, reports, and publications of engineering societies. 1969 to present.
IEEE Xplore
Full-text access to IEEE transactions, journals, magazines and conference proceedings, and all current IEEE Standards. Journals and conference proceedings of the IET are also included in the product. Check out IEEE's tutorials for tips on using the database.
