1. Introduction

Welcome! This tutorial provides the Library Orientation segment of ME100. The purpose is to provide a general orientation to the Cal Poly Pomona Library and to introduce you to the wealth of engineering resources available to Cal Poly Pomona students.

To navigate this site, click on the links to the left sequentially. You can also go directly to any section, but note that later sections will refer to information explained in earlier sections. Also, all links to webpages not within this site will open in a new window.

Please complete the Library Exercise before you leave. This will help us evaluate the effectiveness of this tutorial and it gives you the opportunity to ask questions. Your ME100 professor may require you to complete this tutorial. When you complete the Library Exercise your professor will be notified so you can receive credit for the Library segment of your course.

The first thing to learn about the Library is that every department or college has a librarian liaison who is responsible for helping the students and faculty of that unit. Please contact your Engineering Librarian at any time. I look forward to meeting you in person.
