Launch of OneSearch

The library launched OneSearch on Friday, October 12th, which is a simple search engine to help you quickly discover all kinds of resources in the Cal Poly Pomona library collection. You will be able to quickly and easily access books, eBooks, articles, dissertations, periodicals, media and other resources using one search box. Once you receive your search results, you can narrow by full text results, see if a book is available on the shelf, along with many other possibilities.

To find books and articles using OneSearch, just enter your terms in the search box on the library homepage as displayed in the screenshot below:

You can choose to search all fields, or select options from title, author and subject from the dropdown. Select “Go” to display your results.

Your results will be displayed in two tabs, “Articles” and “Books & Media”. You can select the options on the left side to refine your search. For instance you can select “Scholarly only” or “Full-text only”, narrow by format or subject area, etc. You can also sort by relevance or date. You can still access the catalog, databases, course reserves and Google Scholar directly by clicking the links below the OneSearch box, which are circled in the screenshot below:
