How to Build a Rose Float: Judging & Parade Lineup

Judging takes place over several days, with the final decision on awards made on December 31. However, winners are not notified until 6 a.m. the following day. At 8p.m. on December 31, sleepy Floaters, pumped with adrenaline and caffeine, leave in a convoy to take their place in the actual parade lineup by 11 p.m. The parade officially begins at 8 a.m. on January 1.   judging
