1926 - Looking east at the original horse stables.
Designed by architect Myron Hunt, the original
horse stables (now Union Plaza bldg. 26) possess a classic and
enduring beauty. Mr. Kellogg sometimes referred to it as his
"Arabian horse palace." The stables were used for nearly
48 years until the new W.K Kellogg Arabian Horse Center opened
in 1974. The Sunday horse shows, which began informally in 1926,
continue to this day.
