Field Workers

It's harvest time in the Guasti fields and the comany trucks make the rounds collecting the grapes for transportation to the crushers. Only 25 percent of the winery workers are Italians, the others are Americans. In the fields the greater percentage of workers are Mexicans. The regular workers live in permanent houses, but the seasonal workers live in tents. (10/26/37) |
