The web version of SciFinder (used to search Chemical Abstracts Service -- CAS) works from on- and off-campus and allows you to create search alerts and saved searches. SciFinder contains references from over 9,500 currently published journals dating as far back as 1907. CAS also includes patent information from more than 50 active patent issuing authorities. CAS includes the CAS Registry which can be searched by CAS Registry number, chemical name, molecular formula and by structure drawing. See our Scifinder Web Edition Guide.
