All registered Cal Poly Pomona undergraduate students and Open University (continuing education) students are governed by this policy.
All currently enrolled students are automatically registered with the Library. To obtain full privileges you must create a library PIN/password by going to “My Library Account” from the Library’s web page. The Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Access Card is required when completing any type of library transaction, e.g., checking out materials, renewing items, placing holds, accessing remote databases and paying fees/fines.

Overdue items with fines of $5.00 or more are subject to suspension of library privileges until all the materials are returned and fines are paid. An automatic system block will prevent a patron from accessing library electronic databases, registering for classes, or obtaining university transcripts. Patrons who fail to pay fines will be sent to the California Franchise Tax Board for payment.
In order to prevent the theft of books and Library materials, State Law authorizes patron detention when suspected of committing “Library Theft”. Patrons attempting to leave the library without properly checking out library materials could have their names forwarded to the Director of Judicial Affairs for investigation and potential disciplinary action.
