University Library

The centrally located University Library is housed in a six-story building with floor space of 205,000 square feet and reader stations for 2,000 students.  The collections exceed 2.4 million items1; included are 756,000 volumes, 2,500,000 microforms, 13,000 maps, and 11,000 technical reports.  The Library subscribes to  3,000 periodicals, 2,800 e-journals, newspapers, and major citation/abstracting/full-text databases accessible to students and faculty on-site and from remote locations 7 x 24 via the Internet. The University Library has a strong commitment to the use of emerging information technologies.  Hands-on bibliographic instruction sessions, available upon request, are conducted in our state-of-the-art electronic classroom.  All Library resources and services are available to students and faculty at no charge. The Library maintains an extensive website, which can be accessed at:
