I Love My Librarian

If your learning, teaching, or research experience has been enriched by a librarian at the Cal Poly Pomona Library, nominate your favorite for the I Love My Librarian Award.

Sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA), with support from Carnegie Corporation of New York and The New York Times, the award recognizes exceptional librarians in academic, public and school libraries who have an impact on the learning process and demonstrate leadership in the campus community.

Up to ten winners, from more than 123,000 libraries nationwide, will be selected to receive a $5,000 cash award, a plaque, and a travel stipend to attend an awards reception in New York hosted by The New York Times.

Our librarians are among our most valuable resources and we encourage students, faculty, and staff to nominate that special one.

Nominations for 2014 are open through September 24.
