SIXTH FLOOR MAP

The floor plan and the accompanying text are designed to give you a quick overview of the location and purpose of service points and key library collection.

The sixth floor houses the Reference Collection, research workstations, atlases and maps, the Information Learning Center, circulating books with call numbers B-HD 69 and provides several areas for quiet study. Books are checked out at the Circulation Desk on the third floor. Oversized books are shelved on the bottom shelf within their call number areas.

REFERENCE DESK - Librarians provide personal assistance with online and print collections.

RESEARCH WORKSTATIONS - Located to the left of the Reference Desk and intended for research in the library catalog and over 100 online databases. These workstations also have Microsoft Office and are connected to a networked printer.

PRINT REFERENCE COLLECTION - Located around and behind the Reference Desk. These materials do not circulate.

INFORMATION LEARNING CENTER - Located behind microfiche/film cabinets.

MICROFILM - Journals and newspapers on microfilm are located here in cabinets. Journals are arranged in call number order; newspapers are arranged alphabetically by title. Microfilm readers and reader/printers are adjacent to the cabinets.

MICROFICHE - Journals on microfiche are located here in cabinets and are arranged in call number order. Microform reader/printers are adjacent to the cabinets. The library owns several reference resources on microfiche, such as SEC File, and ERIC microfiche document.

STUDY AREAS - Designed to suit a variety of study needs, these areas include individual study carrels as well as study tables.

STUDY ROOMS - Available on a “first-come, first-served” basis. For group study (2 or more) only. No food or drink allowed.

SORTING AREA - Where recently used books and periodicals are temporarily housed before reshelving.
