During the next several weeks we will be going through construction of the main entry tunnel which will serve as the only primary entry for all Library staff members and the public. This tunnel will be in place for the next couple of years until the completion of the Library Addition and Renovation Project.
As part of the construction for this tunnel there will be some much anticipated noise (which will not affect any of the public/staff occupied areas on the upper floors) within the first floor as the tunnel walls are being constructed. Designated access to the elevators and stairs will remain open during the construction of the tunnel. Restrooms on the first floor will be closed to complete the closure of the tunnel.
There will also be temporary construction barricades that will be placed on the first floor area to separate the construction area from the public area. Please be mindful of these and the immediate surroundings. Library staff can continue using the staff/freight elevator until further notice. One elevator will be shut down during the construction.
The west staircase is closed due to construction, please use the east staircase until further notice.
The Library will maintain its normal operating hours as listed on the website.
