What is KME?

Kappa Mu Epsilon or KME is Cal Poly's mathematics club and national mathematics honor society. KME focuses on the appreciation of mathematics among undergraduates. All majors are welcome.

What are the Benefits of being in KME?

- As a member, you have countless opportunities to network with other mathematics students, both undergraduate and graduate.
- We hold bimonthly meetings where we discuss all things mathematic -- you get up-to-date information about upcoming events in the mathematical community. And we provide the pizza.
- We host several social activities including the end of the year induction ceremony and banquet.
- Members are presented with several ways of getting involved with the Cal Poly community and surrounding community through service activities.
- KME Honor stoles at graduation.
- Get information about Graduate School, job opportunities, internships, and REU’s.
- Excellent addition to your Resume and internship applications.

What are the Requirements to join the KME math club?

- Be interested in mathematics!
|
What are the Requirements to be inducted into the KME honors society?
|
KME members are selected from students of mathematics and other closely related fields who have exhibited scholarship and have attained academic distinction among peers. - Must have taken a significant amount of math classes.
- 3.0 overall GPA or 3.0 GPA in math classes.

When does KME meet?
|
|
Currently KME meets bimonthly on Thursday’s during University Hour (12-1pm). Also there are some voluntary community service activities on the weekends. Please check the calendar for more details.
