I would like to acknowledge and thank the many people who made this exhibit possible. The Belkis Ayon exhibit would not have been possible without Darrel Couturier, owner Couturier Gallery, Los Angeles, as a major resource. Thank you to each of the collectors, who are individually acknowledged on gallery title displays, who loaned the work of Belkis Ayon to this exhibit. Zena Pearlstone, Assistant Professor of Art History, Cal State Fullerton provided contact information for Carl Beam. The work from Sarajevo was collected and brought to this country because of my co-curator for that section of the exhibit, Endi Poskovic Assistant Professor, Whittier College. The truly stellar graphic design was done by one of Cal Poly Pomona's design faculty, Mike Sasso. The nuts and bolts of the installation was accomplished with the help of gallery assistants Jennifer de Leon and Laurel Tierney - with a special thank you for the outstanding work by Chris Burton. I can never compensate my wife Debra Winters, Visual Resources Specialist and Lecturer in Art History at Cal State Fullerton, for all the time and support she has given to this exhibit and all the preceding ones. Debra has developed and maintained the gallery's website from its inception. It is because of her volunteer efforts that this exhibit can be accessed worldwide. Finally and most importantly Cultural Critics would not be possible without the commitment of each of the artists in this exhibit to say what needs to be said.
