The format for developing health promotion programs is based on the Cal Poly Pomona Kinesiology and Health Promotion Department's course, KIN 480, and text, Developing Health Promotion Programs by Anspaugh, et al. This format was chosen because most of the Peer Health Educators have or will learned this approach. It also meets Student Affairs student learning outcomes for developing occupationally for professional life, specifically, the application of knowledge and practical competency skills in vocation.
