E-Book Databases

The library currently owns several e-book databases. The ones you'll find most useful are Books 24x7, Safari Tech Books, and NetLibrary. When in doubt, you should always search for ebooks through the library catalog because the library owns many ebooks not contained within those databases.

  1. Go to the library website, http://www.csupomona.edu/library, and in the menu at the top, click on Databases.
  2. You can navigate databases two ways, by Subject or alphabetically. For example, click on B for Books 24x7, S for Safari Tech Books Online, or N for NetLibrary.
  3. Books 24x7 is the only database that REQUIRES users to create a separate login, so it has its own set of special instructions.

Safari Tech Books Online has a basic search interface that allows Keyword Searches as well as Code Fragment searches. You can also browse by category.

NetLibrary's search interface allows Keyword, Title, Author, and Full-Text Searches. You can also browse through all of the titles.
