The Instructional & Information Technology Division's goal is to provide an environment that encourages and enables all members of the campus community to reach and maintain a level of technological competence and comfort that facilitates their access to the information and services appropriate to their role on campus and forms a basis for professional and personal growth.
The ATI Assistant provides administrative support, coordination & introductory training for the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) for the campus. Maintains action item lists; updates project and financial plans for the ATI project; schedules meetings, attends and takes notes as requested by ATI Coordinator; responds to accessibility questions with appropriate information/resource; assist with project communication; works on special projects as required. Coordinates training or workshops; performs introductory ATI presentation as needed; obtains training evaluations and communicates results; researches and consolidates training reference materials. Gives daily assignments to students; maintains student schedules; maintains student payroll & budget. Researches, obtains and tracks vendor VPATs; provides administrative backup to other administrative personnel within I⁢ and performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or its equivalent AND five years of progressively responsible experience in general office clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures; thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation and spelling; expertise in using office software packages, technology, and system; ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects; ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently, and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist; ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area; ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas; ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions. Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference; ability to effectively write and present own reports; ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels and handle highly sensitive interpersonal situations; ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve results and expedite projects.
Bachelor's degree in an information systems field; knowledge and/or experience with Section 508 and/or the CSU Accessible Technology Initiative; knowledge and/or experience with accessible technology; experience with presenting training sessions in a professional classroom setting.
