General Information
Journal - Please purchase a spiral notebook that will be used to document
1. All notes taken in class
2.   All course assignments
3.   All your preparatory and research work for an assignment
4.   Questions, issues, or perspectives you gained from the reading and would like to raise in class
5.   Your opinion of each section of the text

Based on the reading, you should develop at least three questions, issues, or perspectives you would like to raise in class. These should be documented in your Journal.

Term Paper  You are required to write a 500-750 word two term-papers.

Project You are required to do a project (How does it work?).

Final Exam  There will be no final exam. Final journals and term papers must be turned in no later than the time of the scheduled final exam

Class Participation 

Policy
Display Professionalism. Professionalism means

  • You come to the class before the instructor. Latecomers should stay out of the class.
  • You don't eat in the class.
  • You don't start packing up before the end of the class.
  • You don't do other work during the class.
  • You don't ask for hw extension or makeup quiz.
  • You don't whine.

Your cell phones and other electronic devices such as iPods should be off and put away. Each time your cell phone rings in the class, you will lose a quiz grade.
Must have a valid Cal Poly Pomona email id and check emails regularly. Must know how to access Blackboard You must be able use programs such as a word processor and spreadsheet programs. If you don't have access these programs, contact me in the first week of the class for a computer account.
Late assignments will not be accepted. Please do not ask me for extension.
Sloppy work will not be graded.
No makeup quizzes will be given.
Any form of cheating, plagiarism, and/or academic dishonesty will result in an "F" grade.
