LINE CHART
From the menu bar, click on “Graphs,” "Legacy Dialogs," and "Line...."
To create a chart with one line for all cases:
- Click on "Simple," "Summaries for groups of cases."and "Define."
- Click on "Other Statistic (e.g., mean)."
- In
left window, select your dependent variable and drag and drop it into the first window on the right.
- In
left window, select your independent variable and drag and drop it into the second window on the right.
To create a chart with a separate line for each of two or more subgroups of cases:
- Click on "Multiple," Summaries for groups of cases."and "Define."
- Click on "Other Statistic (e.g., mean)."
- In
left window, select your dependent variable and drag and drop it into the first window on the right.
- In
left window, select your independent variable and drag and drop it into the second window on the right.
- In
left window, select the variable defining the subgroups of cases you wish to examine and drag and drop it into the third window on the right.
Click on the “Titles” tab and enter the title(s) you wish for your chart.
Click on "Continue" and "OK."
